I say Eragon, but I haven't even read the 13th Lemony Snicket book.

Eek. If I did have a favourite book it probably wouldn't be one of those.
I prefer Azkaban to Goblet of Fire, I never got all the way through the Lemony Snicket series, although it was good for a laugh, and I much prefer the radio series to the book of Hitchhiker's Guide.
As for Eragon... I'll just say I've read better, and otherwise stay quiet.
Interesting question, though. Now you've got me wondering what I'd choose if I had to...

My favorite book is usually the one I'm currently reading. I can't just choose one, as that would be blasphemy.
Hitchhikers got my vote though. ^_^ It's odd and creative and just plain silly. I'm also stealing the quote about theories for my paper, which shall be posted here when it's done.
I couldn't get a chapter into Eragon because I didn't like the way he wrote, and he stole my Ryders. But my Ryders are evil, so it sort of works out.
I can't choose inbetween the Potter books. That's evil, and I didn't read the Snicket series in order at all.

I have to go with Eragon, though Eldest was better but not the best in my eyes. Harry Potter is good, but I can't just read it I have to stop and start my own stories about magic. And the other two I have never read any of them so I can't say.

I just finished Parallel Worlds by Michio Kaku. It's a good read for anyone who wants to know more about parallel worlds, string theory, M-theory, dimensions, everything. I just finished it, and this book is the book that I'm going to be quoting the most from. ^_^

Ooh, shiny! String theory! *likes* I'm reading "Temeraire" at the moment, by Naomi Novik. Dragonriders in actual history. It's quite good...

Have I told you? I'm doing a research paper about string theory, M-theory, various dimensions of the two (which reminds me something, thanks!) and I'm trying to tie in time travel, but it's not working right now.
It's coming along great! ^_^

Wow. Much fun. Does this mean you do physics?

I LOVE the Harry Potter books. My favorite is Prisoner of Azkaban, definately. I also like Sarah Dessen's books, like Just Listen- but they're pretty girly. Let's see... Airborne by Kenneth Oppel is really good, as well as The Sight, though I can't remember what that's about.

Airborne, Airborne, that's the sequel to... Argh, what's it called? Something Machines. Ptfth. You know what I mean. I finished Temeraire. Very much European history but quite fun and absorbing. Trying to think what else I've been reading recently. I've not had much time for books. (Shameful. )

No, I don't 'do' physics. String theory is just really interesting for me, and I knew if I didn't do the subject for this paper, I would've done some lame topic. Instead, I researched string theory. ^_^

Coolnessosity. ;D String theory pleases me quite a bit. It does make sense. ^_^
Oh, and Ru, if you like Kenneth Oppel, I heartily recommend Silverwing, Sunwing and Firewing by him. It's a trilogy all about bats, and I think they're brilliant.

I LOVE THOSE BOOKS! I have to find them again, I haven't read them in ages. I suggest reading a trilogy by Jeanne DuPrau(in order): The Book of Ember, The People of Sparks, and The Prophet of Yonwood.

Ee! If you like Silverwing etc, have you read Switchers by Kate Thompson? There's three of them as well (Switchers, Midnight's Choice and Wild Blood) and they're muchly fun. Rather British, as far as I remember, but still good. (And they may just slightly involve vampires... ;D) Aha, is Piro a Terry Pratchett fan? Or just starting out on Discworld? (And Airborne's not the sequel to Infernal Machines or whatever it was called. I was thinking of that and Predator's Gold by Philip Reeve, or someone similar. Predator's Gold and Airborne both have a balloon on the front covers I've seen. I got confuzzled. )

I've been reading a lot of books lately, and I have no idea why. Will be sure to check them out when I get the chance.
