I'm on newspaper, and I need three books (more recent than not) that portrays highschool realistically, then three books that don't.
In post, please add book name, author, and small outline of book, as well as why this is a good book ('cause hopefully you guys know dozens of books that'll help me out!) to put on the list.
Here's what I got so far:
Realistic Highschool: Rainbow Boys, Rainbow High, and Rainbow Road by Alex Sanchez: Gay love. What else is there to say? ^^ Wierd love triangle between friends and lovers that is realisitic.
Unrealistic:
Sugar Rush by Julie Burchill: I haven't read this one yet, but from what I had a friend tell me about, let alone what I found on the internet, it seems unrealistic.
See why I need help?

Oh! Anzia you stole my book! *huffs* Okay, then I choose Catalyst by Laurie Halse Anderson.
((I had one copy of Speak but it fell apart 'cause I loaned it to so many people, so then I got the speacial edition that says they are making a movie on it! Just thought another Speak fan might like to know. XD))
Unrealistic: ((Can it have fantasy in it? 'cause then I know alot! Ha ha!)) Enthusiasm by Polly Shulman. It is a cute book that makes you happy but a tad far-fetched.
Hm, really it would be your view on the unrealistic/realistic thing. I mean, one book might seem realistic to someone but completely far-fetched to another. Oh well, don't mind my mindless ramblings.

Just Listen, by Sarah Dessen. It's a lot like Speak, I guess, because it's about a girl dealing with rape. It's really, really good. In fact... any book by Sarah Dessen would be good.
Shoot, I can't remember the name of it... but one of her books is about a girl who's best friend becomes pregnant... it's good, too, but gosh darn it, I can't remember the title! If you go to your nearest bookstore and read the back covers of Sarah Dessen's books, it'll mention Scarlett as the one who gets pregnant, and... *thinks* Schiest, I can't remember the main character's name! I need to re-read it.
