Watching the group as they entered the gypsy camp, Calypso observed that none of them - with the possible exception of Joniak - appeared to really be at ease. He surprised himself by feeling a pang of sympathy for them. Gods knew, he'd been uneasy most of his life. But just as quickly, the sympathy passed by, and he moved over to Shira's side again.
"Any more information you think I should know?" he asked easily, wondering how much she would actually tell him. "Such as how long this whole charade is going to take so that we can start your training."
Now, there was incentive to talk. But he was genuine in his desire to know more about the situation. He hated being this ill-prepared for anything.

Sairen rubbed her left ear and sadly remembered her choice to leave before her Zurka. She had still not gotten anything pierced, even though her husband had a feather earring he always wore or had worn.
Scanning the crowd of gypsies for a familiar face, the noble lady kept her head held high. What would they do if someone recognized her? Shout? Approach her publicly? Though she wanted to join her heritage after her husband died she would still deny any accusations directed towards her abandonment.
Brenan still has an apartment in Rosengaurd. Maybe he'll know something of Kal's death. Sairen recollected. He was Kal's dearest friend after all. Everything she had learned over the past twenty years kept piling mystery after mystery. Even though some connect there were still too many knots to figure out the underlying plot.

"Its the equinox in a two days, so it could be up to a week at the lastest before we can begin. And depending on how this all works out," she said, waving her hand at the gathered crowd, "it could be shortened. I really don't know whats going to happen...."
-------
Zaza nodded when Joniak finished, smiling. Her kitten...back...
She turned and walked towards Riemman, much to the disgust of the other gypsies there who didn't have the information that she had...There wasn't that many actual words being said, only loud mutterings. The bad feelings that were being radiated over the fifty meters or so that seperated the two groups said enough.
Zaza walked most of the distance before launching herself into a hug with Riemman, probably his first in nearly a decade.
"Welcome home," she whispered, tears falling.

At the hug, Riemman stiffened. It had been so long, and any touch he'd had from the moment he'd been taken had been anything but kind or innocent. But... it felt good, made him feel loved. Slowly, he relaxed into the embrace, hesitantly bringing his arms to hug back.
"Good to be home..." he says faintly, as if scared that it's all a dream that would disappear. But the gazes of the other gypsies, while now also confused, continued to radiate hate and distrust.
His arms dropped like deadweights and he turned his head to the side in shame. "I'm sorry," he whispered.

Having noticed how he withdrew, she gave him one last squeeze before letting go. A hand came up to grasp his chin, turning him so he faced her. "Don't be. It's not your fault, at all. Do you understand?"
Zaza's other hand, having moved behind her back, opened and closed in a fist quickly.
Josselin caught this sign easily. "Come on, break it up. Go home, there's nothing to see," he said, trying to break up the crowd. There were more than enough "What is going on?" and other questions asked, but he didnt' answer them. Joniak already had taken care of that, with a near shout of "All will be explained later! Now GO!"
All it did was add to the confusion and anger of the crowd, but a few people turned heel and left. Not many, but a few.

"Isn't it?" Riemman murmured, his eyes confused and lost. "I betrayed you all; became the thing you despise most of all..." he trailed off, noticing the commotion.
He tried to take a step back. "I should probably go. All I'm doing is causing trouble." He wasn't looking forward to going back empty-handed, knowing what awaited him for his failure, but it was alright, he supposed. Nothing he'd never experienced before. Better to disregard his own selfish wants-ones that he'd already given up hope on anyway-than be the cause of any rifts in the people he'd once called family.

OOC: Sorry for keeping you guys waiting! ^^"
IC Jakkin glanced back and forth, watching the reunions without much interest. He had his own to set in motion. After a while he just tuned everyone else out, watching Queezle as she changed her form boredly to that of a wolf- minus the wings, this time. His stomach gave a low rumble.
"I'm hungry," he stated suddenly, not loud enough to be heard by anyone who wasn't really listening.

Sairen almost broke down from what she witnessed. She actually felt some of Zaza's pain from being separated from her own children. Dabbing her moist eyes with her cloak she smiled softly at the love that connected them; it was probably different from her own love she bore for her children but with the same intent.
Hearing the boy's words beside her she reached into her pouch and produced a ripe pear- her eldest son's favorite. “Here,” she murmured and handed the food to Jakkin. As she did so a sudden revelation overcame the educated lady; she wasn't the only one in the traveling troupe searching for something. All of them- the young man and woman, the other man, the Ryder, the lad and the djinni- were all on their own trek through life annoyed by the interference of others.
As she thought of this she remembered when she first came upon the group, and the girl was showing the Ryder something in a magic looking orb. It shows one at that moment, Sairen recalled her husband explaining. She did not know the exact logistics looking into the orb but it couldn't be that difficult, right?
I will ask her later. When she is alone.

OOC Sorry that took a while. I've been away, as thou knowest. ^_^
IC Calypso just nodded, and murmured, "Alright. As long as it takes, then," in response to Shira. Truth be told, this reunion was beginning to get to him. He felt guilty that neither he nor his brother had ever returned home after they'd left to learn their magics. And now it was too late for Taune to go anywhere, and he was still finding excuses not to go back. He wondered if their parents even knew of Taune's death. Then he wondered if they would even care.
Reminding himself that his family had been glad to get rid of the two of them - not for the honour it would bring them, as they claimed, but simply to relieve the expense of bringing up two sons - he managed to drive off the guilty feelings and bring himself back to the present.
"I give up," he sighed slightly under his breath, directing his words to Shira but not exepecting her to hear them. "I'm in your hands."

((A post is going to come later. I just wanted to get rid of Lali's little fears that she's not talking about by saying that Shira is not going to stay all of the equinox........just two days or so....))
Zaza leaned in, heart splitting into two pieces for the little boy that was so confused inside Riemman's heart. She whispered, "If you leave now, both the Ryders and they," meaning the crowd behind them, "have succedded in controlling you, even now, when you have a choice."
She paused, letting the words sink in for a moment. "So, stay, or go?"
-----------------
Shira only nodded, having heard the words, but she didn't know what to say to them.

Riemman bit his lip, his eyes betraying his confusion and indecision. Part of him argued that it would only cause more trouble it he stayed, for both himself and the gypsies. But he was so tired of having to bend to the whims of those higher ranked than him. He'd been their plaything for so long, and enough was enough.
"I- I'll stay." Despite the waver in his voice, it still sounded a whole lot more sure than he really felt.

"Uh- thanks?" Huh. He hadn't really meant for anyone to hear him. He'd have to avoid talking to himself while they were in company. Queezle ignored his banterings well enough, but the same wasn't true for... everyone else.
Nibbling on the pear, he tuned back in to the conversation in time to hear the Ryder say something about staying. What? Ah, well. Whatever was going on here, it wasn't of any importance to him. The further into Rosenguard they could get, the better. If anything of great importance happened with this group, Queezle would tell him. Hopefully.

Zaza gave Riemman one last quick hug, finally thinking on how to get the crowd to disperse, and sent it to Joniak.
Joniak winced at the threat, but he could see the reasoning in it. "Anyone who harasses the Ryder, or dosen't get back to what they were doing, is going to be banned from all games and spirits!" That got people moving, especially after Josselin translated it into Gypsy and yelled it a few times.
Street, and crowd, cleared, Zaza smiled. "Welcome home." -------
Truthfully, Shira was as lost as Jakkin. From what she could tell.....the Ryder was a gypsy? How could that happen? Was that even correct, or was she nuts?

OOC By the way, Shira, I'm not worried about how long Shira and Caly stop at the gypsy camp. Caly is - well, was, considering he's thought things through in this post - but he'll do as I tell him. Right Caly? Caly: *is bound and gagged, nodding furiously* *pats Caly* Good boy.
IC Calypso felt a lot more comfortable now that the crowd was pretty much gone. It also looked like the Ryder had more pressing issues than a rogue weather mage. In fact, as long as Shira's magic didn't get out of control as Jared's letter had warned might happen, things were looking up. He might even get to relax for a while and take things easy.
If it came to it, he could probably find a relatively secluded spot and start doing some basic control exercises with Shira. He wasn't too worried about her tendency to "blow up", as Jared had phrased it. It couldn't be that bad, surely. He could easily put fire out with a quick cloudburst, winds were always within his control, and pretty much anything else could be contained by his powers.
"Not quite the welcome I was expecting," he muttered to Shira, who seemed about as lost as he was - though he had thought she would know exactly what was going on, it appeared that her boyfriend was the one who had dealt with the gypsies before. "Though I admit this is preferable. I was about ready to have to fight for my life..."

Riemman had to snicker softly at the threat Zaza issued. Being banned from all games and spirits was a bit harsh, but effective, he supposed. The thought of the games reminded him of the upcoming equinox, and his own upcoming Zurka.
"Zaza," he called softly, his voice barely a whisper. Once he had her attention, he swallowed rather painfully before continuing. "Would you....could you possibly......perform my Zurkamori rites?" He averted his eyes after asking the question. Staying was one thing, but having the Zurkamori rites and being acknowledged as an adult member of the gypsy clan was another.

((Finally, a post!! Whee!))
A tanned hand camp up to frame Riemman's face before it traveled down to his shoulder before drawing him into a nother hug. "Of course. A private ceremony just between us," she whispered into his ear. She had done the same to Cassandra when she escaped the Ryder camps the year before.
Letting go of him, she smiled.
*********************
Welcome home. Later, perhaps? The question didn't have to be explained, especially since Josselin was grinning very wickedly.
I don't know. Shira's been acting funny lately. Joniak answered back, crossing the little bit of road to hug his childhood boyfriend.
How? It was a short hug, too short for the person that had been ditched in the middle of the night three months ago, but Joniak could feel Shira's glare at the back of his head.
Weird. Suspicious of everthing. More pissed off when I drink. Things like that.
Josselin laughed, pushing Joniak back in the direction of the traveling group, taking the rein's from Joniak as he did so. Have Zaza take a look at her later on or something. Could be zathura.
Joniak grinned at the meaning. Can'tcha tell?
"Bug off," Josselin finally said out loud, turning his back on Joniak in the general direction of the stables. "I got it."
Such voiceless conversations between the two of them weren't all that uncommon, which left Shira even more confused and pissed at Joniak.
"Thanks."
((I've been bad! I totally forgot to describe Zaza earlier. Sorry! Okay, she's about 5'7, with brown hair that's braided down to her knees. Usual brown long skirt and sleeveless shirt..... no shoes, several earrings in each ear..... Definatly the leader of the gypsy camp even though she's usually kind, and she's very protective of the kids in her charge. Sorry for the decription like this, but bell's going to ring.!))

Sairen was lost in sudden tumbling of events. She glanced hesitantly at the other companions of the motley traveling group before deciding to stay where she was. After all, what were games and drink to her without children or a lover to share the moment with?
I’ll have to take each moment as it comes, her own cryptic thoughts were puzzling enough without the pain if having to decipher the details of another’s story. Sairen’s plot would take time, planning, and detangling; by staying with the gypsies she would be able to do just that. And it was convenient that the other travelers wanted go to Rosengaurd; for the mother knew that a few answers of her love’s death could be found there. Answers would lead to why and where their children were taken.

Riemman nodded slightly, and his shoulders eased in relief. Kyvvas sent a somewhat disgruntled and amused 'Told you so,' his way, one which he promptly ignored. His wyvern snorted in reply and curled up in the corner of the clearing for a nap.
Turning to Joniak, he cleared his throat slightly, embarrassed now at the fact that such a private moment had happened so publicly.
"We need to find those men," he said, his voice a bit stronger than the soft whisper it had been a moment ago, but nowhere near his normal cocky tone. "We need to make sure they don't leave before the equinox celebrations are over and then I need to take them in to prove you didn't murder them."

((Another Shira post under the name of Riemman. XD ))
Joniak nodded. It wouldn't be that hard, really, they would just have to tell Kyra to make sure they didn't leave, even if that meant at the expense of having them stay for a few days, free.
Would that mean, since Riemman said after the equinox, that he'd be staying to play some of the games? It seemed like it, or he'd just get the whole bringing-the-culprits-to-the-Ryder-camp thing over with already....
Mentally confused, Joniak said, "That shouldn't be too hard."

Sairen snorted after the youth's response. "That shouldn't be too hard" he said! Even from her limited view of the situation she could tell this was going to be a bit more difficult than just finding two men.
"So you expect to just ask around- without causing a scene- about two men that are presumably dead to the general public." Her husband had the same type of view on the world; secret informers and crystal balls can tell the truth. Bah! Some people had not experienced where the real power lay. "What you really need is a person with an alibi that can cover what you are really trying to do."
Out of steam, she took a step backwards, shocked by her sudden outburst. "I'm sorry to interrupt your, um, planning. From my experience I feel your situation requires careful planning."
